New Southeast Florida Ranger Tugs Dealer

Kent, WA—Seagate Marine Sales Inc. in Stuart, Fla., is a new dealer for Ranger Tugs in southern Florida. Seagate specializes in trailerable boats, and Ranger Tugs is its first line of trawlers, which will complement their Edgewater and Parker powerboat lines traditionally used for fishing and high-speed cruising. Boaters along the Treasure Coast and Palm Beaches now have a convenient location to sea trial and purchase the full line of Ranger Tugs: the R-21, R-25SC, R-27 and R-29 models.

Seagate Marine is a family owned business that’s been in operation since 1993 and has a loyal base of customers who rely on their sales team for personal customer service as well as trailer service and post-purchase service. Seagate is also a certified 5-star Yamaha dealer, and buyers will find reliable and knowledgeable service from the Seagate team.

Cal Gaston, owner of Seagate Marine said, “Ranger Tugs are in high demand. We talked with numerous buyers at the boat shows this fall who are eager to know when they could take delivery of their own tug. The boats are ideal for shallow Florida waters but also have the range to let owners go off and explore as long as they like. We’re excited to have the Ranger Tugs line as part of our repertoire.”

Kirk Hawley, Ranger Tugs’ sales manager said, “We’re excited to have the team at Seagate Marine on board selling and servicing Ranger Tugs. From the very first conversations we had with Cal and Tommy, they were excited, enthusiastic and confident about selling and servicing our brand. We’re confident this excitement and enthusiasm will provide a win-win-win future for customers, Seagate Marine and Ranger Tugs in southern Florida.”

All Ranger Tugs are equipped with a reliable diesel engine, Garmin electronics, Diamond/Sea-Glaze windows, and bow and stern thrusters for ease of operation and maneuverability. Part of Seagate Marine’s dedication to customer service is ensuring the boat is also equipped with all requisite Coast Guard equipment, dock lines, fenders and life jackets. Boat, engine manufacturer CSI award recipients to be honored during IBEX

CHICAGO – August 30, 2010 – For the seventh consecutive year, the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) recognized Edgewater Power Boats as a recipient of the 2010 Marine Industry CSI Award for the period from April 2009 through March 2010. A total of 44 boat and engine manufacturers were recognized for excellence in customer satisfaction as part of NMMA’s Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) program.

The Marine Industry CSI Awards program honors participating manufacturers that actively measure customer satisfaction and pursue continuous improvement to better serve the customer. Award recipients achieved and maintained an independently-measured standard of excellence of 90 percent or higher in customer satisfaction over the past year, based on information provided by customers purchasing a new boat or engine during the period between April 1, 2009 and March 31, 2010. Participating manufacturers must survey all new boat buyers during this period. For this reporting period, the program surveyed more than 40,000 consumers.

“It’s important to be able to recognize boat and engine manufacturers that have maintained a focus on customer satisfaction as it’s the cornerstone of our industry’s future,” notes Terry Leitz, NMMA’s director of CSI programs. “CSI Award recipients make a commitment to improve the customer experience thereby reinforcing not only their own reputation for quality but for the industry as a whole.”
